Lance Patrick Penn is Artha's little brother, and is a member of the Penn Racing Crew.

Appearance[]

Lance is only 10 years old, making him the youngest in his crew. Lance stands 4' 10", weights 80 lbs, and sports copper red hair like his father Connor Penn. Lance's clothes consist of a green T-shirt with a gold buckle-like ring on each shoulder & two more on his lap, with blue & black house-style shoes and blue and grey shorts with longer green pants underneath. He also wears slate grey bracers and knuckle guards.

Character[]

Lance is like any other boy his age: as much as he loves his older brother, he loves teasing him & getting into trouble even more, even when it's unintentional (Episode 3: Into the Fire- Lance knocks out the Vid Game controller during a race at a crucial time; at Artha's question, Parmon Sean says, "A small technical problem." Artha asks, "Let me guess, about four feet small, calls himself Lance?").

As shown in Episode 19: The Wraith Booster, he is a really kind-hearted person that rubs off on other people. He often sticks to Parmon Sean or Kitt Wonn, if he's not hanging out with his big brother. Lance is proud to have the Dragon Booster as his brother, even if he is bit jealous at times.

Trivia[]

  • Lance's name appears to be a reference to Sir Lancelot from Arthurian Legend. Lancelot was King Arthur's most trusted knight. There is also a weapon called a lance, but the Lancelot reference seems more likely.
    • Lance's middle name, Patrick, also seems to be a reference to Saint Patrick.
  • Lance's dragon is Fracshun, a blue Energy-class dragons that is also about 10 years old, just like his rider. If you look carefully, you can see that Fracshun has a stylized dragon on his rear end, right around the emblem of the Penn Racing Crew. Lance has this same picture on his helmet, and through the use of a Chromo-Shifter, this logo of Lance's was also put on Fracshun's back end.
  • It has been suspected that Lance may have been planned to be the Energy Booster in future seasons: Episode 7: The Horn of Libris shows where Beaucephalis used Lance's energy to help calm the angry Libris (instead of using Khatah's energy). However, this has been unconfirmed.
  • According to an official release by the show's creators, Lance measures 5'2" in height[1]. But at 5:17 in Episode 3: Into the Fire, Artha indicates that Lance is about 4' tall. It is not known whether there is a mistake in the episode or the release.
