Plot Summary[]
Dorsull, the reigning champion of the All-Terrain Championship and a member of the Dragon Fish Crew, is expected to participate in the All-Terrain championship but is being chased by Wulph and Ferryt of the Army of the Dragon Crew. Marianis, the leader of the Dragon Fish crew, refuses to help Dorsull and his dragon is captured by Wulph and Ferryt.
Parmon learns from the Dragon City Security's feed that Dorsull is reported missing by his crew. Back at Penn Stables, Mortis informs them that the best dragons of every class have been disappearing. He suspects these to be the doings of the Army of the Dragon Crew at the behest of Word Paynn, who is trying to create his own Dragon of Legend. Parmon calculates that the only breed left is the Green Bull class owned by Phistus.
The Penn Crew try to warn Phistus but he laughs it out. They decide to keep a vigil to protect him. When Wulph and Ferryt arrive, Lance accidentally drops a coin and blows his cover. Lance, Kitt and Parmon are immobilized by Ferryt as Wulph confronts Phistus. Artha activates his Dragon Booster armour to help Phistus but gets distracted by Ferryt's cries for help mimicking Lance, leading to the abduction of Brutaris.
Artha gets frustrated and storms off without his Dragon Booster gauntlet and amulet. Kitt, Parmon and Lance track down the Army of the Dragon Crew to Word Paynn's citadel using purple tracking gear that Kitt wrested from Ferryt during their earlier encounter. Lance invades the citadel through an air-vent and witnesses Paynn using an artificial bone-mark to mutate Brutaris into the Chromatic dragon. Parmon wants to relay this information to Mortis but Kitt insists on taking decisive action. Lance tries to use Artha's gauntlet and amulet to become the Dragon Booster in his absence but to no avail. The trio is discovered by Wulph and Ferryt, but Paynn lets lose the Chromatic dragon on all of them.
Meanwhile, Beau finds Artha strolling through the Wastelands of Loan where they discover a statue of the Ancient Dragon Booster. Beau unlocks a hidden recording of the Ancient Dragon Booster in which he talks about his fear of failing at his duty but determines to try none-the-less. The message resonates with Artha and he comes to the rescue of his friends cornered by the Chromatic dragon. The Army of the Dragon Crew defies Paynn and immobilizes the Chromatic dragon. The group distracts the Chromatic dragon as the Dragon Booster mag-jumps and destroys the prism bone-mark, the dragon's source of power. Brutaris is restored and scampers back to Phistus.
The episode ends with Artha apologizing for not being there when his crew needed him the most.

Quotes[]
- "There is only one crew organized and equipped to take down multiple dragon types and riders -- the Army of the Dragon...they are a very dangerous crew -- they act as one, it is their strength...and their weakness. Without their leader Wulph, crew members are basically helpless." - Mortis
- "War has come to Dragon City. Beau and I are the only things that stand in its way. We have allies, sure...many dragons, many humans. But the responsibility is so great, they want a leader. What if I lead them wrong? Still, I am the Dragon Booster, and I've got to try." - Ancient Dragon Booster
- "Do not put it past Word to have devised some shortcut, some plan. He has great technology at his disposal, and great knowledge of the ancient ways." - Mortis
- "It's the four little fingers of the Penn Racing Crew. If you add one more, you can make a tiny fist." - Phistus
- "Word Paynn is the strongest. We follow strength. Survival of the fittest!" - Wulph
